Clubs hosted eight students from overseas — Western Europe, Eastern Europe, South America — and sponsored six Northern California students on exchange in Europe. We have three students headed out for the 2023-24 school year, to Europe and Asia. Rebuilding momentum following Rotary’s pause in the program during the pandemic is a marathon rather than a sprint. We’re gearing up for a full return to normal for 2024-25, when we’re also planning to roll out a Short-Term Exchange Program (STEP) for families and students who would prefer an alternative experience to a full-year exchange. Several of our long-time members of the Youth Exchange Committee are transitioning to new responsibilities in Rotary, and new members are stepping up to fill the void. Thanks to all of them!
